Sweet Sunday Sketch #2!

I liked Karen's sketch so much I had to make another card. I saw a card on Pinterest where someone had used crystal effects on this martini glass and just had to do it. Stamps are MFT, card stock is SU, DSP is by Recollections (Michael's).

I finally decided to play along with the SSSC, Karen Giron's blog is AMAZING and I'm in total envy of everything she creates. I case her work often, she's so inspiring. This is a card I made for my girlfriend - she needed it for her brother who recently graduated from the RCMP. I bought this set from CTMH awhile back and was so excited to finally get to use it. The card was a big hit!

I love this quote, I thought it would be perfect for a retirement card. The card is being circulated around the office, so I made it accordion style to allow for lots of signing room. I randomly stamped sentiments throughout.

I love the painter's tape technique - such a cool (and quick) background! This is for a co-worker from her department.
Paper is SU (Wisteria Wonder/Concord Crush), Ink is SU (Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush and Pale Plum). I also used SU's "Not So Seriously" stamp set, and MFT's "Say What" die.

A Fun Engagement

I made this not so traditional engagement card for friends of mine - they are all about skulls and crossbones - so it suited them perfectly - they loved it! I printed some skull clip art & hand drew the veil.
Stamps are SU & Papertrey Ink, and paper is all SU (Basic Black, Basic Grey, Strawberry Slush).

For Colton

My mom never orders cards off me (she doesn't like that when it comes to her, the price is 'free'), but we've recently had a new addition to our family, my great-nephew, and my parents very first great-grandchild.
We're all very excited about this beautiful little boy who has joined our family, and I can hardly wait to head to Maine to meet him.

Wedding Blues

I loved this week's Mojo304 sketch and couldn't wait to use it for this wedding card. These are their wedding colours which I really like - I don't seem to play with blue very much otherwise.

Minions

I saw the invitation version of this on Pinterest and knew I had to make the card version - so cute! I'm not a huge fan of punch art as it's A LOT of work, but I do think the result is worth it.

Game On Birthday

I saw this card on Pinterest and had to case it for my nephew's 12th birthday - he's a total gamer so this is right up his alley. I enclosed a $20 Playstation online card of course :)
It uses the PTI set Boy Basics: Game on as well as TAWS Ka-Pow set. Paper is SU (Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobler, Basic Black).

I thought this would make a fun anniversary card. I never thought there would be a colour I loved as much as Pool Party - but I'm currently having a love affair with Coastal Cabana!

I love this week's Mojo Monday sketch, #300 - WOW! I used Verve's Blue Skies & Great Friend stamp sets. The card stock is all SU (Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Kiwi Kiss, Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate) and the DSP is from Simple Stories. I'm a Chemo Angel, and the card on the right will go to my lady in Toronto this week - she loves bright colours. Thanks for looking :)

Once again, I cased the amazing Deanna Jean, I changed the colours but kept the layout exactly as is.
Colours are Real Red, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight and Lucky Limeade from SU, stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink.

I wasn't feeling very creative last night and had to make a couple of birthday cards, so this is an exact CASE of one I saw on Pinterest. I love these stamps from Papertrey Ink. Paper and Ink are all SU - Groovy Guava, Cameo Coral, Daffodil Delight, So Saffron and Calypso Coral.

Birthday Candles

I struggle to make masculine cards, so when I saw this one on Pinterest I had to case it! I rolled the candles out of SU DSP and used baker's twine for the wick. I never get bored of the top note die. Thanks for looking!

Teacher Thank You

Nothing fancy to post today, my girlfriend needed a few thank you cards for her kid's teachers so this is one of the ones I made. Paper is all SU, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Bashful blue and Old Olive. The apple is a Spellbinders die and the stamps are from CTMH.

Birthday Smiles

I have been unable to make cards for over a month due to a really bad infection in my lower arm, it is good to be back! Today I cased the amazing Deanna Jean, if you've never been to her blog you MUST visit - klosetkreations.blogspot.com.  Deanna's work is beautiful, I absolutely love everything she does.

Remember This?

I finally pulled out my MFT Ring Me stamps & dienamics set - boy was it fun! I just love how this card turned out.  After fiddling around with various types of twine for the cord, I settled on some16 gauge black wire my husband had out in the garage. I just love the result. Paper is SU Pool Party & Basic Black.

Paw Prints

I made this keepsake box for my neighbours who lost their beautiful kitty Gorilla. I was going to simply use black and white, but thought a splash of Pool Party would brighten it up just a little bit - I was really happy with the result.

Beautiful Butterflies

I saw this card on Pinterest and had to case it, it was so pretty! Oh how I miss Poppy Parade. The rest of the paper is SU as well (Whisper White, Pool Party and Everyday Enchantment DSP).

Margarita Me!

This was my first ever pop up card, and I'm really happy with it - especially the colours! The card stock is SU- Gumbball Green and Mellon Mambo, the pink DSP is MM as well. I have a feeling I'll make a couple more of these cards - while sipping a margarita I think ;)

WTF?

I am in love with this set from CAS-ual Fridays! It's so fun. Card stock is all SU (Cool Caribbean, Soft Suede and Pumpkin Pie), the DSP is made by SEI. I used a CTMH set (Just a Number) for the inside sentiment, and I followed the MOJO286 sketch, love, Love, LOVE those sketches!

As usual, I love the Mojo Monday sketch this week - Julee's are some of my favourite.
All paper is SU (Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight). The set is from Verve, it's called Blue Skies and I don't ink it up near enough - it's a gorgeous set!

Bieber Birthday

This card is for my girlfriend's daughter who is a big Justin Bieber fan. I used the MOJO286 sketch - I LOVE those things! Die and paper are SU (Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand, Baja Breeze and Whisper White). I used CTMH alphabet stamps and the inside was computer generated.

40 & Fabulous

I CASED this from a beautiful sample I saw on Pinterest. I cut the #'s out several times and layered them together to get the thickness. I covered them with pigment ink, heat & stick powder and than dazzling diamonds. The paper is all SU, dies are PTI and MFT.

Shop On

Oh how I love Pool Party, it is by far my favourite Stampin Up colour EVER. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't retire. I made this card for a girlfriend who loves, guess what? Shopping! :)

O'Canada

One of my co-workers received his Canadian Citizenship last week, he was so excited - and so proud :)

Fight

I'm a card angel, through the www.chemoangels.net program, and was assigned a patient in Toronto several months ago.
I love sending cards to her every week. This week I'm sending her a box FULL of blue stuff as it's  one of her favourite colours and also the colour for colon cancer. This is the card I made to go with her stuff :) She is such a fighter, and I know she will kick cancer's ass!

I hate that I've had to make so many sympathy cards lately, for humans and for pets. As much as they suck to make, I did like the way this one turned out, and I will repeat it in the future, for a different occasion.
