For My Coffee Friends

A little something I put together for my coffee friends - we have a recurring Starbucks date every Wednesday. I made the card using the MFT coffee die, the paper is all SU as well as the Endless Wishes stamp set. Merry Christmas everyone!

I made this for my husband's birthday, I was inspired by a ladies necklace at work. UP is one of our favourite movies - everyone should hope to share a love like Carl & Ellie's <3

Angel Mail

I have two buddies through the ChemoAngels program, a three year old girl and a six year old boy. They both live in Ottawa and are actually being treated at the same hospital, for the same cancer (ALL Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). These are the cards I made them this week. I cased the MFT Pure Innocence one from Pinterest, and as you can tell by the boy card - he's an Ottawa Senators fan.

Two in Blue

Here is my 'angel mail' for this week, both my little buddies share the same favourite colour - blue! I try to personalize their cards as much as I can. I printed the images online, the sentiment stamps are from Hero Arts, and the paper is from Stampin Up (I am SO glad they brought back Pacific Point!). Thanks for stopping by.

For the Graduate

I love this graphic greetings stamp from Taylored Expressions - combined with the embossing folder (by Darice) it made for a quick and easy grad card. I handmade the little diploma. The grout grey cardstock is by MFT and the rest is Stampin' Up.

Ewe Are On My Mind (SSSC #244)

This is my 'angel mail' for my little buddy this week - I wasn't sure about it at first but I've come to like this card. It's simple, but cute I think - I hope she likes it too. I used clip art for the sheep. All paper is from Stampin Up (Coastal Cabana, Craft Cake, Whisper White). I followed the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge this week, I love all of Karen's challenges! Birthday Balloons

I cased this card from one I saw on Pinterest, I finally ordered the balloon dies & stamps from MFT. I stamped them in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana and added some enamel dots.The sentiment is computer generated.

I absolutely love the Ring Me die from MFT - and love how this card turned out! Inside says "Yep, you're old". I had a rotary phone in my bedroom growing up, so yes, I remember this.

Angel Mail

I am in a wonderful program called ChemoAngels. Volunteers (like me) are matched up with cancer patients, and send weekly uplifting cards (card angels) and small gifts (chemo angels). I've been doing this for almost two years now, and it's one of the most rewarding things I have ever done! Western Wedding

Ever make one of those cards that turns out exactly how you wanted it to? This was one of those cards for me. My customer wanted something simple, with a western theme, for his friends getting married. When I handed it to him this morning, his exact words were "You f*#king nailed it!" LOL. Geek is Chic!

I LOVE the new Geek is Chic stuff from MFT, I had so much fun making these glasses! The background stamps are from SU's Work of Art, all paper is SU and the sentiment is computer generated.

Monkey Business

I'm in the chemo angels program, so this is the card I made for my little buddy this week - she loves monkeys! I made the monkey using punches. Just a tip to all you paper crafters out there, when tacky glue makes contact with Early Espresso ink - it turns red! I'm hoping since she's three she won't notice the little red smudge - I was going to cover it with a flower but it looked odd.

Angry Bird Birthday

This was a lot of work to make, but so worth the effort! I used punches and freehanded/cut the rest by hand. The grass is made using the MFT die and I used a Papertrey Ink die for the clouds.

Ninja Turtles

NASCAR Love

When a friend of mine asked me to make a NASCAR themed anniversary card for her husband, I was stumped....but I'm happy with the results. Happy 20th Tracy & Bob!

Sisterhood

I bought this stamp off of my local swap n' buy, it's called 'Sisterhood'...it is the best $2 I ever spent!
I have used it so much. I coloured the image using Copics. The sentiment stamps are from MFT and all paper is SU (Regal Rose, Whisper White, Basic Black). Have a great day!

Lion Love

I made this for my little angel buddy (via the chemo angels program, it is amazing, check it out if you're interested www.chemoangels.net. She's three and she's battling leukemia, as much as I love making her cards, I sure hate the reason - but I think they must bring a smile to her face. I made the lion using the SU Blossom Punch, the 1 3/8" circle and the 3/4" circle. I used the tiny heart from the Owl Punch for the nose. Thanks for looking!

BFF's For Life

I made this card for my very best friend in the world - we've been friends since grade 8, so about 30 years or so. She loves Audrey Hepburn, so I made the background paper using MFT's Cleary Sentimental About Audrey Hepburn set. The paper is all from SU (Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Basic Grey). The girls are stamped with a stamp I bought on my local swap n' buy, it's called "sisterhood".

Got The Blues?

This is the card I'm sending my senior angel this week - the blue is even more vivid in person, it's actually muted a bit in this photo. She loves blue, so this is right up her alley. All paper is from SU, the stamps are SU and MFT.

As soon as I saw this MFT Pure Innocence cutie I knew I had to have it - I'm a chemo angel to a little three year old, so it's perfect. Sisters

I bought this 'Sisterhood' stamp on my local swap n' buy wondering if I would ever use it, it was too good to pass up at $2. It came in handy last night, I really like how this card turned out. Paper is all SU (Basic Gray, Smokey Slate and Strawberry Slush). The image is coloured with Copics.

Happy Birthday, Executive Style

I made this card for 'the big cheese' here in the office - aka our President & CEO - something tells me it suits him perfectly...no pun intended ;) The MFT Suit & Tie dienamics are worth every penny - so fun! Paper is all SU (Midnight Muse, Real Red and Crumb Cake) and I also used the Canvas stamp from SU.

The World

We are losing our AMAZING doggy daycare lady we've had for ten years, she's moving to B.C. I made her a scrapbook filled with photos and memories of all the dogs, including our two of course. This MFT die was perfect, she really does mean the world to us. Chase, Gemini & their humans will miss her and her little family so very much.

Monkey Mail :)

I'm a in the chemo angels program, and my littlest buddy who is only three LOVES monkeys, so I thought this card turned out perfect for her. I embossed some Early Espresso card stock and freehand cut the tree, and then I fussy cut the monkey which I had stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.The sentiment is from Verve and I think it suits the card perfectly :)

Ladybug

I love making these little 3-D lady bugs - and the best part is - they flatten out for mailing! I still miss SU's Poppy Parade, man I wish that colour would come back. The grass die is from MFT and the stamps and number die are from Papertrey Ink.

You Always Pop Into My Thoughts

This is the card I made my dad for Father's Day, and his birthday which is the day after. I made a combo card this year so I guess he got gyped a little ;) I just love the Graphic Greetings stamps from Taylored Expressions. I made this one for my husband as today is our 22nd wedding anniversary! Wow time flies. I thought this sentiment from Verve's Stronger Love set said it all. I just love this stamp set from Verve, it's one of my favourites. I followed this week's Mojo Monday sketch as well :)  Paper is all SU (Sahara Sand, Basic Grey and Pool Party). I was going to add more bling (maybe some rhinestones?) but then figured I'd keep it as masculine as possible.

I made this card for a friend of mine and when I gave it to her she had a puzzled kinda look on her face. Turns out, it matches baby's nursery EXACTLY, and I had not idea when I put the card together! What a coincidence. I made this for my littlest angel buddy this week, she's only 3 and is a superhero in my opinion! I figured she deserved all the bling a card could fit. I sure hope it brightens her week.

Let's Celebrate

I made this card for a bachelorette party - I just love this set from MFT. I had to make the paper for  her dress manually as I don't have any white glimmer paper so I used versamark, heat & stick powder and then SU dazzling diamonds. I am really happy with the result! I followed this weeks SSSC#218 - I love Karen's sketches :)

Here is this week's 'angel mail' for my little buddy who's only three. I love the ChemoAngels program. I inked up this little MFT cutie and coloured her with copics (I'm still learning!). The SU fringe scissors are amazing when you're in a rush and want some fast grass! Have a great day everyone.

I FINALLY got my hands on some MFT paper & ink - shipping to Canada is way too expensive but my friend was just in Florida and stopped by their store - yay for me! I am loving Grout Gray - really happy she got me two packs of this one. Stamps are from one of my all time favourite SU sets, Summer Solstice.

It's playoff season, and as all Canadians know, hockey = life in Canada.
I made the Habs card for my girlfriend and the Bruins one for my nephew. I much preferred making the Habs one! NHL logos are printed thanks to the internet, card stock is all SU.
