This is the card I made for my little buddy this week, and I made one for his little sister as well. He's four and she's two. When I embossed the background for her card I had a totally different theme/layout planned....and only realized after I'd assembled that the flower background is weird! I'm hoping that because she's only two, she won't notice or care :)

Today I wanted to post something other than a card. I recently came across this photo on my computer, and was reminded how much I love it. It's of my nephew Tyler and his little sister Sydney - two of my favourite people in the whole wide world. I'm going to visit them in 18 days! :)

My family had a lot of people to thank last week after my dad's passing - one of them is my old childhood friend who later ended up being my parent's neighbour. Along with his own family, he often treated my parents like family. He and my dad always loved to talk football, so this is the card I made for him. I was totally winging it but like how it turned out. All card stock is SU (Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Gumball Green).

Why have I waited so long to try ink on my embossing folders? I whipped up this background paper in under two minutes! I love that someone needed a Halloween themed birthday card, I never get to make them and it's one of my favourite times of the year.
I had to go back home to Greenfield Park (just outside of Montreal) unexpectedly. It was a week of chaos but in the midst of it I managed to take a few pics of the beautiful fall foliage. This one is my absolute favourite. You just can't beat fall in Quebec.

Just stopping in quickly to share a card I made last week, it was way more work than I expected but I do love how it turned out! I free handed the guitar and fussy cut it. I then stamped it with SU's woodgrain background stamp. All paper is SU. Have a great day :)

I saw a card like this on Pinterest and couldn't wait to make one. I love how the glasses turned out. I die cut them five times, adhered together and then added crystal effects to give them a glossy look. Very fun! I'm sending this card to my little chemo angel buddy this week.

This is the card I made for my little buddy to send next week as I'll be away - I'm trying to get ahead of the game for once! I'm also sending DQ gift cards for him and his sister, because who doesn't love DQ??? The stamps are from CTMH's Ice Cream Dream set, all the paper is SU and I coloured the image with copics. I added crystal effects to the windows but you can't tell in my crappy photo!

This was my first ever card in a box! I made it for my six year old buddy (via chemoangels). It's such a fun card, I really think he'll like it! I can't believe that it folds perfectly flat for mailing. I can't wait to send him this one.All the card stock is from Stampin' Up and the stamps are from Papertrey Ink.

It's never easy to lose a pet, if you're like me, than they are your children. I made this for a co-worker as her friend is experiencing this terrible loss. As it turns out, he got his black lab from the same place that we did, www.starstrucklabradors.com, so I've seen him on the facebook page. What a small world. I feel horrible for him as he grieves his BFF (best furry friend).

Pet sympathy cards are my least favourite to make. With that being said, I am happy with how this one turned out. It's for a co-worker who lost her kitty quite suddenly. It's never easy, they are family to us. I used the Tim Holtz brick embossing folder, the dies are from Memory Box, and all the cardstock is from SU.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest and was totally inspired to make one, immediately! LOL. I am sending it to my six year old chemo angel buddy, I'm pretty sure he'll like it. The mouth opens and closes - super fun! I used oval dies and circle punches. All card stock is by SU (Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Basic Black). Have a great day!

I'm not a big fan of green, but I really like Stampin Up's Pistachio Pudding. I can't seem to get enough of this colour. I used the MFT Happy & Flower dies. I'm sending this card to my chemo angel buddy who is going through a really hard time, hopefully it brightens her day:)

I thought I'd share something other than a card for once. This is a recent pic of my nephew Tyler & niece Sydney. They are definitely two of my favourite people. I don't get to see them near enough. Tyler just got a new dirt bike, and well....I think Syd might need a kayak! They're so lucky to live smack in the middle of nature in beautiful B.C.

MFT stamps has a line of these addorable little girls, they're called Pure Innocence, and they are my absolute favourite stamps to ink up and colour. My colouring skills still need work but I'm getting there. Isn't she just the cutest? I stamped her again and then fussy cut her dress out. The cardstock is all from SU, I used Melon Mambo, Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade. Have a great day!

I love making angel mail (but hate the circumstances). This is the card I made for my six year old buddy this week, I hope it makes him giggle. It made me giggle. I used Pacific Point, Gumball Green and Basic Black for the paper (all Stampin Up) and the stamp set is from Technique Tuesdays.

I came home to a surprise today - this AWESOME card from my niece Syd. It made my whole face smile! I'm so touched that she took the time to make it for me, and I love that card making talent runs in our family:) Syd, if you're checking my blog - THANK YOU! Love you to the moon and back.

Ok - I'm my own worst critic, but I absolutely love how his card turned out! When I was asked to do a beach themed baby card I was a little unsure - but once I found the sand and the tiny shells I knew right away - shaker card! Thanks for stopping by to take a look:)

Pet loss cards are always the hardest for me to make, I guess because I'm such an animal lover and have a few of my own. My customer asked for a card to send to her vet clinic as a thank you. She cried when I delivered this to her, so of course I started to cry too....as much as I say I won't, I do...Every. Single. Time. I used a combo of MFT, CTMH and SU supplies.
